After our risotto-pizza dinner extravaganza, we had a bonfire on the beach. Obviously, s’mores had to be involved, but C and his sister’s fiance wanted to take it to the next level.
They wanted to bring bacon into it.
And so they did.
And actually, it was delicious.
Cooking it over the fire, stretched out between the prongs of the stick, meant that it got cooked until very crispy and remained pretty flattened out.
The smoke from the fire also added something to the flavor, I think, making it even more smoky and bacon-y.
Most importantly, though, it was manly.
